Sat on patio to enjoy a solo sunset dinner. Halibut though petite was delicious. The truth is the place is simply classic - a bit pricey, but what isn’t these days. Sometime a lady just needs a Smoke House Margherita to finish the day. I should have gotten one of their fabulous steaks but did enjoy the fish- mixed review I know- but the place is a landmark - you must try it.

It was a very rough day today. I just wanted a good steak dinner. I chose Omar's, and I was not disappointed. The steak, baked potato, and veggies were wonderful! I had a salad before dinner and it was also very good. I topped it off with an Irish coffee. The bartender made it perfectly. Extremely friendly atmosphere, and you felt welcome. I very much recommend this place.

I’ve lived in Southern Oregon off and on for almost 50 years. I had never been to Omar’s. What a shame. It’s a great old dinner house. The atmosphere is a throwback to the 50’s and 60’s without the cigarette smoke. The staff are personable and professional. The food is pure comfort. Delicious and plentiful. Can’t wait to go back.

I had a great experience at Omar's . I was stopping by 2 get some food after work. I entered it with escargot and seafood excellent I could not ask for better. Ryan the bartender was courteous and helpful in selecting my items. I had stopped in a few days earlier for the 10 lunch what a deal. Ryan waited on us at that point to he was gracious and knew his stuff who arrived quickly and we were excellently satisfied.

My son took me to Omar’s for dinner for Mother’s Day on Saturday night so we could relax and avoid the Mother’s Day crowds. I had mentioned to him months ago that I had been there back in 1980 and it had been wonderful. We had the most amazing meal and experience here! The menu was a great mix and offered something for everyone. We started with the deep fried Brussels sprouts and they were so delicious. When dinner arrived we were very happy with our choice, prime rib for us both. It was even better than I had remembered or imagined. It was perfectly prepared and we will definitely be making another trip in! Service was impeccable and my hand crafted Old Fashioned was just the best!

The friendly folks from Ashland Mountain Adventures recommended this spot. My friends and I came in and we were seated right away. The food was pretty good. I had the surf and turf and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The server was very nice and took good care of us.

I have lived in the Rogue Valley for 15 years and this was my first time at Omar's. I now mourn all the years I have missed out on this wonderful establishment. The French onion soup was delicious and the jerk chicken is what I will be dreaming about until my next visit which will be soon. I highly recommend!

This IS THE PLACE first eating dinner or lunch or whenever they're open. We had dinner and it was very very good! Oyster shooters, clam chowder, steamed clams, to start accompanied with plenty of fresh hot bread, then our mains were the Halibut, perfectly prepared with a beautiful seasoning just a touch of crust but the meat was flaky and melt in your mouth delicious, the fish and chips are the best I've had since Scotland, and finally and perhaps incongruously a chicken fried steak! It was the best I've had. Period. Sorry Texas. While the mains were enough the sides were also excellent, from my potato wedges that had a nice crunchy seasoned exterior and a lovely soft center to the real whipped potatoes seasoned with a bit of chives and butter these were amazing by themselves. Then when we're all done begging for mercy they mention their creme broule and it won the night. Hard crust creamy not too sweet smooth deliciousness. All this amazing food plus 6 adult beverages (they have a full bar) was under 200!!! Blew my mind. This is not cheap food, this is excellent food prepared excellently at a bargain price. If I lived within a 100 miles I'd be here once a week. Finally the people are the friendliest most warm and helpful group I've been around since the 80s. Proactive service! Remember those days. These people haven't ever forgotten. In businesses since 1946!!! Just a real treasure! Treat yourself and visit. Tip your waitstaff the amount you know you should have paid for this great experience!
